China to make breakthroughs in core technologies, achieve sci-tech self-reliance

(ECNS) -- China vows to drive advances in original innovation and breakthroughs in core technologies in key fields, and move faster to achieve greater self-reliance and strength in science and technology, according to a government work report submitted Thursday to the country's top legislature for deliberation.
