A proven falsified screenshot published the untrue news that the physics laboratory of Harbin Engineering University has been suspended due to the survey of some ultra-electromagnetic guns, according to a statement released on its official account on Sina Weibo on Tuesday night.

Please follow the information from the official channels of the university and do not spread fake news, the statement said.

According to a webpage screenshot circulating on the Internet on Tuesday, the university launched an investigation in the teaching building in which the laboratory located, after receiving continuous feedback from students about a basic physics experiment of measurement of magnetic field and the main problem reflected was that the experimental data is significantly larger than the theoretical value.

Investigation results showed that several ultra-electromagnetic guns were stored in dozens of underground floors of the building and there was suspected to be a large amount of highly enriched extremely radioactive uranium-235 raw materials, according to the notice on the fake screenshot.
