Taiwan's return to China is unstoppable: official
(ECNS) -- Taiwan's return to China is unstoppable, and the unfinished cause of our forebears will surely be accomplished, said Zhang Xiaogang, a spokesperson for China's Ministry of National Defense, on Thursday.
He made this remark when asked about the popular TV series Silent Honor, which centers on the theme of national reunification and has drawn wide attention across the Taiwan Straits.
Zhang said he had noticed that more and more people are learning about history and the deeds of Chinese heroes through such dramas, which strengthens the courage and resolve of compatriots on both sides of the Strait to accomplish the great cause of national reunification.
He firmly believes that China's complete reunification is a shared aspiration of all.
