Chinese population lifted out of poverty accounts for over 70 pct of global total: Xi

Chinese President Xi Jinping on Thursday said that according to the World Bank's international poverty line, the number of Chinese people lifted out of poverty over the past 40 years accounts for more than 70 percent of the global total.
