Arab-China relations have been growing stronger over time and have made good progress in recent years, Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud said at the 9th ministerial meeting of the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum held Monday via video link.

China and Arab states share similar or identical positions on many issues, he said, adding that the two sides commit themselves to safeguarding world peace, prosperity and stability and fighting the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Saudi Arabia, he said, appreciates Chinese President Xi Jinping's proposal to build a community with a shared future for mankind and believes it is conducive to deepening bilateral cooperation.

Saudi Arabia firmly supports China in safeguarding its sovereignty and territorial integrity, appreciates China's long-standing principle of non-interference in other countries' internal affairs and stands ready to work with China to strive for new progress in Arab-China cooperation, he added.
