President Xi Jinping leaves for state visit to Myanmar

Chinese President Xi Jinping left Beijing Friday for a state visit to Myanmar. 

Xi's two-day visit on January 17 and 18 comes at the invitation of Myanmar's President U Win Myint.

This is Xi's first overseas trip this year, and the first visit to Myanmar by a Chinese president in 19 years.
