Deputy Secretary-General of CPPCC Liang Chao in Xinjiang under investigation

Liang Chao, deputy secretary-general of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is under investigation for suspected violation of disciplines and laws, according to an official statement released by the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and China's National Supervision Commission. 

He is currently under discipline inspection and supervisory investigation conducted by the region's Discipline Inspection and Supervisory Commission, the statement added.
