Loud explosions were heard near the U.S. embassy in Iraq's capital city of Baghdad. There are no immediate reports of casualties or damages.
A total of three mortars were fired at an abandoned area in Baghdad Green Zone at 1:00 a.m. local time, confirmed the Iraqi Coalition Command.
Two initial explosions occurred near the U.S. embassy, another took place near a refugee community area, according to witnesses. The matter is under investigation.
