Former KMT chairman Lien Chan arrives in Beijing

Lien Chan, former chairman of the Chinese Kuomintang (KMT) party, arrived in Beijing Thursday for a visit to the mainland.

Heading a delegation of people from various sectors in Taiwan, Lien, also chairman of a foundation on cross-Strait peaceful development, will also visit provinces including Liaoning, Jilin and Zhejiang.
