First batch of zero-tariff petrochemical materials clears customs as Hainan launches island-wide operations

(ECNS) -- As China's Hainan Free Trade Port (FTP) launched island-wide special customs operations Thursday, the first batch of petrochemical raw and auxiliary materials imported under the zero-tariff policy arrived at Yangpu Economic Development Zone.

The shipment totaled 179,000 metric tons with a value of nearly 400 million yuan (about $56.79 million), enabling enterprises to save about 10 million yuan in costs under the zero-tariff policy.
