China's manufacturing PMI rises to 50.1 in January

The purchasing managers' index (PMI) for China's manufacturing sector rose to 50.1 in January from 47.0 in December 2022, the National Bureau of Statistics said on Tuesday.

A reading above 50 indicates expansion, while a reading below reflects contraction.
