Disaster film 'Cloudy Mountain' stays atop Chinese box office

Domestic disaster movie "Cloudy Mountain" continued to dominate the Chinese mainland box office on Sunday, figures from the China Movie Data Information Network showed Monday.

The film, about a father-and-son duo's efforts to save a newly-built tunnel and a town of 160,000 residents from the peril of natural disasters, raked in 16.9 million yuan (about 2.6 million U.S. dollars) on its 10th day of screening.

Chinese drama movie "All About My Mother" ranked second with daily box office earnings of about 6.5 million yuan on Sunday.

It was followed by Chinese action film "Raging Fire," which generated 4.4 million yuan on Sunday.
