China's robot output in first three quarters surpasses 2024's total
(ECNS) -- China's robot manufacturing sector has demonstrated robust growth this year, with production volumes of both industrial and service robots in the first three quarters exceeding the total output recorded for the entirety of 2024, industry data showed.
According to the China Machinery Industry Federation, the country produced 595,000 industrial robots and 13.5 million service robot units from January to September, reflecting accelerated expansion in the robotics industry.
The surge in production has been accompanied by notable improvements in product quality and functions. Domestic manufacturers have successfully developed multiple high-performance industrial robots capable of handling heavy loads, welding, spraying, and mobile operations, marking significant breakthroughs in high-end robotics applications.
Meanwhile, the supporting capacity for key robot components has been steadily strengthening. Continuous progress has been made in the development of core components, including high-precision reducers, high-performance servo systems, and smart controllers, enhancing the overall competitiveness of China's robotics industry chain.
