(ECNS) — The Shenzhou-21 manned spacecraft is ready for launch after all systems completed final checks and preparations, the China Manned Space Agency (CMSA) said Wednesday.

A full-scale joint rehearsal for the launch was conducted under the unified command of the Beijing Aerospace Flight Control Center. The Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center, Xi'an Satellite Control Center and several tracking and control stations coordinated operations to simulate the entire process, from pre-launch preparations and liftoff to in-orbit flight.

The rehearsal verified the reliability of the rocket, spacecraft, launch site, and tracking and communication systems, while also testing coordination among units and examining the technical performance of the Shenzhou-21 spacecraft and its carrier rocket, the Long March 2F.

Given possible challenges such as low temperatures, seasonal winds and sandstorms during the mission period, the launch site has taken targeted measures in meteorological forecasting, tower sealing, air-conditioning support and contingency planning.

In related preparations, China's space station is in orbit for rendezvous and docking. The crew of the Shenzhou-20 mission has conducted manual rendezvous and docking drills in preparation for the arrival of Shenzhou-21.
