(ECNS) — Tsinghua University will continue strengthening employment support for students from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, and overseas, said Xie Jin, director of its career development center, in an interview last Wednesday. Among the approximately 9,000 students set to graduate in 2025, nearly 80 percent have already received job offers or signed contracts.

From last Wednesday to Friday, the University hosted an annual job fair for the Class of 2025. The event drew over 720 employers from 30 provinces and municipalities across China, offering thousands of job opportunities in key industries, including information technology, manufacturing, energy, and defense tech.

At the fair, many companies displayed signs reading "Welcoming Applications from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan Students" and "Welcoming Applications from International Students." Tang Minxing, a student from Macao, remarked that these initiatives provide greater convenience for students, helping them identify target employers more effectively.

Xie emphasized that Tsinghua University remains committed to strengthening employment support for these student groups. This year, nearly 400 employers are offering job positions specifically for students from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan, while nearly 190 companies have openings for international students—both record-high numbers.

"I believe China offers a wide range of opportunities for students," said Amir, a master's student in mechanical engineering from Bangladesh who will graduate next year. He told China News Service that he is exploring opportunities in the manufacturing sector and hopes to stay and work in China.

Xie noted that the University provides a range of tailored services, including specialized career counseling on employment policies and job application procedures for students. It also offers multilingual one-on-one career consultations and has set up a bilingual resume review station at the job fair to provide seamless, one-stop career support for graduates. (By Zhao Li)
