(ECNS) -- In 2022, the per capita net income of people who have been lifted out of poverty reached 14,342 yuan (about $2,114.56), an increase of 14.3 percent year on year, which was higher than the 6.3 percent growth rate disposable income of rural residents across the country, according to National Rural Revitalization Administration.

In 2022, the administration insisted on increasing the income of people who have been lifted out of poverty, which is regarded as a fundamental measure to consolidate the outcome of poverty alleviation efforts, and paid close attention to promoting employment and industry, an insider said.

Authorities have organized for people exiting poverty to work outside and near home. Measures include boosting labor-service cooperation between eastern and western regions and creating job opportunities. In 2022, some 32.78 million people lifted out of poverty found jobs, according to the Administration.

Areas that have been lifted out of poverty were supported in developing distinctive local businesses, with 55 percent of the rural vitalization fund used to support industry development.
