(ECNS) -- The Palace Museum in Beijing announced on Tuesday that seven exhibitions with more than 900 precious cultural relics from the collection of the museum will be on display in the Hong Kong Palace Museum.

This is the largest as well as the highest-level exhibition the Palace Museum in Beijing has ever held beyond the Chinese mainland.

Among the more than 900 treasures, about 70 percent of them will be shown for the first time in the Hong Kong Administrative Region, including paintings, calligraphy works, bronze wares, ceramics, gold and silver wares, enamels, jade, lacquerwares, glass, imperial seals, embroidery, jewelry, sculptures, books and classics, ancient architectural collections, etc.

These cultural relics will be on display for one to 12 months and some of them will be exhibited on rotation based on “safety first” principle.

The Hong Kong Palace Museum will open to the public on July 2, with general admission priced at 50 Hong Kong dollars (about $6.37) and special exhibition tickets at 120 Hong Kong dollars.

Seven permanent exhibition halls will be open to the public for free every Wednesday in the first year.
