6.1-magnitude earthquake hits SW China's Lushan

(ECNS) -- A 6.1-magnitude earthquake hit Lushan County, Ya'an City of Southwest China's Sichuan Province at 17:00 Beijing Time on June 1, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).

The earthquake was monitored at 30.37 degrees north latitude and 102.94 degrees east longitude, with a depth of 17 kilometers.
