Steir's most recent work, the large-scale Rainbow Waterfull (2021) conceived especially for this retrospective, was on display, offering a dazzling demonstration of the artist’s latest development and the synthesis of her unique method.

Steir drew inspiration for her Waterfalls series from Chinese ink paintings, and as she said in a specially-recorded video, “I wanted to paint something that is nature itself.”

"This is the exhibition I’ve been longing for for years," said Steir, "and now I'm so excited that my dream has come true!"
