New worker camp serves Shanghai airport Phase IV expansion

(ECNS) -- A worker camp serving the airfield section of Shanghai Pudong International Airport Phase IV Expansion Project was officially put into use on Thursday.

The camp, spanning nearly 120,000 square meters, provides four-bed dormitories with air conditioners and lockers, family rooms for couples, and public areas with one-stop service zones.

Amenities include a canteen with specialty food windows, an affordable supermarket with controlled prices, and a multifunction activity center offering haircutting, household maintenance and free medical consultations.

Officials said the camp is designed to improve living standards for construction workers and support smooth progress on the expansion project.
