Protecting cultural treasures of the Silk Road

Enhancing mutual learning among different civilizations and promoting the common development of different cultures are important in advancing the "Belt and Road Initiative".

Chinese President Xi Jinping attaches great importance to cultural protection and research among BRI participating countries. Thanks to his efforts, joint archaeological work between China and other countries continues to make progress. 

Over the past decade since the BRI was proposed, cultural exchanges and cooperation between China and other BRI countries have continued to expand and deepen.

More Chinese archaeologists have gone abroad to carry out research and relic restoration together with overseas experts, writing stories of cultural protection along the Belt and Road Initiative.
