(ECNS) -- Giant panda "An An" at the Qinling Giant Panda Research Center in Shaanxi Province gave birth to a cub on Monday after 111 days of pregnancy, which raises the number of artificially bred Qinling giant pandas to over 40.

An An's first panda cub weighs 132.8 grams and is in good health. An An, born in 2013, finished natural mating at the end of May 2022.

As one of the three giant panda research and breeding centers in China, the Qinling Giant Panda Research Center has made many breakthroughs in the artificial breeding of giant pandas.
