Discussions covered financial opening policies after the Hainan Free Trade Port’s customs closure, use of multi-functional Free Trade (EF) Accounts, the Qualified Foreign Limited Partner (QFLP) pilot program and industrial fund cooperation.

Feng Chun, deputy director of the bureau, invited Hong Kong institutions to join Hainan’s financial innovation, while InvestHK executive Leung Hon King highlighted Hong Kong’s strengths as an international financial center.

Guests noted the complementarity of Hainan’s policy advantages and Hong Kong’s capital market, suggesting joint investment models through QFLP funds and local industrial funds.

Officials said the “Hainan–Hong Kong Parlor” will continue as a regular dialogue platform to deepen cooperation and promote two-way capital flows.
