Foxconn maintains normal operations in Henan

Foxconn Technology Group, the world's largest contract electronics manufacturer and a key supplier of Apple Inc, said its plants in Zhengzhou, capital of Central China's Henan province, are currently in normal operation, despite more COVID-19 cases in the city.

The company said in a reply to China Daily that the resurgence of COVID-19 pandemic in Zhengzhou has no impact on its production capacities.

All residents in Zhengzhou have been required to undergo nucleic acid tests, including hundreds of thousands of employees at the local Foxconn factories.

Zhengzhou is one of Foxconn's main production bases, where the company produces about half of the iPhones in the world. It has more than 90 production lines and about 350,000 workers.
