China welcomes WTO ruling that U.S. tariffs on Chinese goods violate international rules

China's Ministry of Commerce welcomes the World Trade Organization (WTO)'s ruling that U.S. tariffs on Chinese goods violate international rules, it said in a statement on Tuesday.

WTO on Tuesday circulated the dispute panel report in the cases brought by China in the U.S., and said the tariffs were "inconsistent" with global trade rules, and "recommends that the United States bring its measures into conformity with its obligations.”
