(ECNS) -- Chinese consumers have complained over difficulties to withdraw money from their accounts on Amazon China (Amazon.cn), after the marketplace closed on July 18, Yangtze Evening News reported.

A user surnamed Chen said his account could only be used to purchase Kindle books.

The report also said Amazon China didn't suspend the online function to top up gift cards on time although it no longer operated the marketplace nor provided seller services from July 18.

The website is in the stage of withdrawing the recharge function of the account, customer service of Amazon China said.

If users want to buy overseas goods with the refund, they should withdraw their account balance via their bank card first, it was added.

But, temporarily, this service does not support bank cards from Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, Bank of Communications, Guangfa Bank and Ping An Bank and credit cards of Bank of Communications.
