Marathon fever
Marathon fever has swept across China, with about 75,000 participants running in marathon competitions in six cities on Sunday morning.
"马拉松热"正席卷中国,11月8日早上,全国6个城市有近7.5万参与者在参加马拉松赛事.
"马拉松热"（Marathon fever）即近年来兴起的马拉松运动热潮.Fever 这里指狂热,可用于形容一种现象,如苹果热（apple fever）.Frenzy也表示狂热,马拉松热也可以用（Marathon frenzy）表示.
中国田径协会（Chinese Athletic Association）的数据显示,中国马拉松比赛正在迅速增加,2011年,中国仅举办22场赛事,而今年举办的赛事已超过120场.马拉松比赛也带来很大的经济效益（economic benefits）,能增加地方政府的财政收入（boost revenue for local governments）.
同时,业内人士指出,中国的马拉松热极大地促进了中国体育产业的发展（hugely boost the sports industry）.相关产业如餐饮业（catering business）、住宿（accommodation）、运动饮料（sports drinks）和医疗用品（healthcare products）也从这项流行运动中受益.
