Jinci Temple, built as a shrine dedicated to the first feudal lord of the Jin State during the early Western Zhou Dynasty (1046-771 BC), houses a wealth of cultural heritage that dates back to the Song Dynasty.
Jinci Temple is located at the foot of Xuanweng Mountain, 25 kilometers southwest of Taiyuan. It is a precious historical and cultural heritage that integrates ancient Chinese sacrificial architecture, gardens, sculptures, murals, and stele art.
