More than 50 ducks of the Baer's pochard, a type of diving duck, were spotted in Heilongjiang. The Baer's pochard was listed as a critically endangered species by the International Union for Conservation of Nature in 2008. The number of the ducks has increased from about 20 last year to 50 in Heilongjiang this year, which indicates the improvement of local ecological environment.
