The kanji for "金" (kin) was named as the single most representative kanji character corresponding to the social mood in Japan this year, by the Japan Kanji Aptitude Testing Foundation on Monday. The Kyoto-based organization said that Kin was a fitting choice for 2021 because of the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics where witnesses Japanese Olympic team’s best results ever.
