Flight MU5159 took off from Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport at 2:25 pm on Monday, heading for Beijing Capital International Airport.

The ARJ21 is China's first turbo-fan regional passenger jetliner manufactured by the Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC).

One Two Three Airlines (OTT Airlines), a subsidiary of China Eastern Airlines, officially operated ARJ21 jetliner on Monday, becoming the last among seven airlines to officially operate ARJ21 jetliner in China.
