Artist Han Shaoguang's new solo exhibition at the Today Art Museum in Beijing offers a chance for visitors to take a peek into his unique world of art.

The exhibition, named The Myth of Life is full of the artist's thoughts about the relationships between human beings and the environment. According to curator Wang Chunchen, a total of over 50 oil paintings and art works are on display.

Visitors may notice that the lines and layout of the paintings are similar in style to graffiti art. Han explained that since he feels that graffiti art is a very natural form of expression, he deliberately copied the look in order to bring his works back to the original nature of art.

"It's not easy to reach that level. With everyone living in such a material society, only a very few people like Han can remove themselves and portray the essence of human beings," said Wang.

The exhibition is set to run until September 24.
