A newly opened pavilion at Changfeng Ocean World now offers curious children a chance to touch the marine life they usually see displayed behind cold windows.

According to Zhao Yang, an official from Changfeng Ocean World, the pavilion is built on a concept and design from England.

"Kids will establish a much closer connection to the ocean creatures here and have a lot of fun," Zhao says.

A variety of animals are put on exhibit, including turtles, starfish, crabs, sea urchin, sea snails and sea cucumbers. With information from the pavilion's narrator and careful touch, visitors can gain a basic understanding and feel the physical characteristics of the animals.

A special zone in the pavilion provides a close look at many common phenomena of nature such as tides and waterfalls. It also lists and displays several poisonous species which can't be touched.

Another place that offers interactive and fun events in summer is the Madame Tussauds Shanghai. A new exhibition hall of well-known Marvel film characters has recently opened to the public.

Visitors can take pictures with Wolverine, the Fantastic Four, Spider-Man, Iron Man, Captain America and other characters from the Marvel film catalogue.
