Xi'an

As one of the six ancient capitals in China, Xi'an enjoys a history of more than 3100 years. Thirteen dynasties, including Qin, Han and Tang Dynasty, have settled in Xi'an as the imperial capital for 1100 years.

Different dynasties endowed Xi'an with different heritages. Emperor Qinshihuang, the first emperor of the Qin Dynasty, owned the 8th Wonder of the World—Terracotta Warriors; During the Han and Tang dynasties, Xi'an has served as the center of politics, economy, culture and international communications, being the starting point of Silk Road and a oriental guesthouse. "Rome in the West, Chang'an (Xi'an) in the East" vividly depicts the historic position of this city. Till now, Xi'an shoulders Athens, Cairo, Rome, reputing as the Four Ancient Capitals in the World.
