(ECNS) - China has set the goal of reducing carbon dioxide emissions per unit of GDP by around 3.8% in 2026, according to the work report of the government delivered by Chinese Premier Li Qiang as "two sessions" kicked off on Thursday.
The target is projected to support the country's green and low-carbon transition, and national energy security, while enabling China to "move step by step toward the goal of peaking carbon emissions before 2030".
