7th China-France Cultural Forum to open in Changsha

(ECNS) -- The seventh China-France Cultural Forum will be held in Changsha, Hunan province, from Nov. 2 to 4, 2025.

The event will include six parallel forums focusing on topics such as integration of culture and tourism, technology empowerment, cultural heritage preservation, and innovation in cultural protection.

Interactive activities like Hunan intangible cultural heritage exhibitions, Sino-French artist concerts, and night tours of Changsha will offer participants an immersive experience of both cultures.

Co-initiated by the Western Returned Scholars Association and the French-based Prospective and Innovation Foundation (Foundation Prospective et Innovation) in 2016, the China-France Cultural Forum has previously been held in Beijing (China), Lyon (France), Xi'an (China), Nice (France), Suzhou (China), and Deauville (France). It has become a vital platform for people-to-people exchanges between the two nations.

Changsha ranks among one of the top 100 travel destinations globally. It has actively engaged with global platforms like the World Tourism Cities Federation and the Lancang-Mekong Tourist Cities Cooperation Alliance.

Changsha gained international recognition as the "Capital of East Asian Culture" in 2016 and became the first Chinese city that was recognized as a UNESCO Creative City in media arts in 2017.

The city has attracted many international trousits in recent years. According to statistics, Changsha welcomed 327,400 inbound visitors in the first three quarters of 2025, a year-on-year increase of 44.72%.

Notable global influencers, including Darren Watkins Jr.(IShowSpeed) and Khaby Lame (Speechless Brother), have visited the city.
