(ECNS) -- China's third-generation homegrown superconducting quantum computer, Origin Wukong, has completed over 500,000 computing tasks for users from 143 countries and regions since its launch on Jan. 6, 2024, according to Anhui Quantum Computing Engineering Research Center on Tuesday.

The platform has received over 29 million global visits, setting a record for the scale of quantum computing services provided independently by China.

Data shows that among overseas users, the U.S. and Canada rank first and second among the top in access frequency.

Guo Guoping, director of the Anhui Quantum Computing Engineering Research Center, said the completion of over 500,000 tasks by Origin Wukong marks a shift from basic usability to large-scale application, positioning China as a major player in global quantum computing.
