(ECNS) -- A sightseeing helicopter took off from the helipad on the 6th floor of Global Harbor Mall on Monday, passing Shanghai landmarks including Shanghai Stadium, Lupu Bridge, Nanpu Bridge, Lujiazui, and Yangpu Bridge, before returning along the same route.

The entire flight lasted about 15 minutes, marking the official launch of the first customized low-altitude sightseeing route in Shanghai's downtown area.

As a new cultural and tourism product aimed at promoting the low-altitude economy, this custom-designed air route offers a new perspective of the city from above, enhancing the urban sightseeing experience for both residents and tourists with diversified travel options.

There are two new low-altitude sightseeing routes in Shanghai, said Xie Jian, captain and general manager of Shanghai Hongjian General Aviation Co., Ltd. One is a short panoramic loop around Global Harbor, lasting 3 to 5 minutes, offering views of Suzhou River and landmarks in Putuo District, and the other a 15-minute route from Global Harbor Mall to Lujiazui, showcasing the iconic skyline along both banks of the Huangpu River.
