(ECNS) -- China's Commerce Minister Wang Wentao and Kyrgyzstan's Minister of Economy and Commerce, Bakyt Sydykov, signed a joint statement on Wednesday in Beijing, officially launching negotiations on service trade and investment agreements between the two countries.
According to the statement, China and Kyrgyzstan will negotiate market access and rule-making in service trade and investment through full consultation, aiming to reach a comprehensive, high-level agreement aligned with World Trade Organization (WTO) principles.
The agreement is expected to further unlock the potential for bilateral economic and trade cooperation, enhance trade and investment liberalization and facilitation, and strengthen bilateral economic ties.
