A 5.0-magnitude earthquake jolted Weili County, Bayingolin Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture in Northwest China's Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region at 1:35 am Tuesday (Beijing Time), according to the China Earthquake Networks Center.
The epicenter was monitored at 40.89 degrees north latitude and 84.15 degrees east longitude. The quake struck at a depth of 20 km, the center said in a statement.
No immediate casualties have been reported, according to local authorities.
