Xi: Respect and care for the elderly

Chinese President Xi Jinping visited the Sijiqing Nursing Home in Haidian District, Beijing on New Year Eve in 2014.

He inquired into the daily routines and living conditions of the elderly and inspected the facilities and operations of the nursing home. His visit left a deep impression on all of those present. 

With Xi's advocacy, China has actively addressed the challenges of an aging population, working to enhance the elderly care service system. Ensuring that every senior citizen receives proper care, support, recreation, and security in their old age is steadily becoming a reality.
