(ECNS) -- A craftswoman from Hebei Province has baked many Beijing 2022-themed steamed buns as the event draws near, hoping to popularize the winter sports event.
Li Yinhua referred to many online videos and pictures to create her Beijing 2022-themed steamed buns.
The idea of making such buns first came to Li in 2018.
"I liked to see my mom and my grandmother make steamed buns when I was young and I've learned some skills so I decided to start my own business," said Li. It is not as easy as it looks. Each procedure including flour mixing, kneading, decoration, fermentation and steaming is rather complex, Li added.
She also gives the buns to her neighbors, relatives and friends to taste in order to improve her skills. After a year's attempts, she has developed various types of steamed buns, all very popular among locals.
"I want to popularize the Winter Olympics through my steamed buns, so people can fall in love with the event, " said Li.
