(ECNS) - Zong Qinghou's Wahaha Group, China's leading food and beverage company, has launched a new enterprise specializing in robotic products.
Data showed that Wahaha Intelligent Robot Co Ltd was established on March 27 with a registered capital of 40 million yuan ($6 million).
Its business scope includes research and development, manufacturing and sales of intelligent robots, robotic machinery and components.
The Hangzhou City-based Wahaha Group, as the biggest shareholder of the new company, accounted for 65 percent of shares.
Zong Qinghou, the founder and chairman of Wahaha Group, controlled 52.15 percent of the new company and will act as its chairman.
The group’s website said Wahaha had developed a variety of industry-related equipment including an industrial robot, a high-end direct drive motor and other core automation components.
