(ECNS) -- China's financial, tax and civil affairs departments recently have made a joint announcement to exempt income tax for companies that are qualified to produce or assemble products aimed at the disabled.
According to the announcement, companies and individuals producing items on an official list will enjoy zero income tax for five years starting this year.
The benefiting companies must rely over 60 percent of its annual revenue(export excluded) on disability related products for profit, it was said.
They are required to employ no less than one sixth of certified workers to make artificial limbs or orthotics, while having professional assembly lines and testing rooms.
Qualified companies are asked to register at tax offices to enjoy the tax cut.
