(ECNS) -- A young man suddenly proposed to his girlfriend with a ring in front of an Apple store in Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province with money intended for an iPhone 7.
The man knelt down before his girlfriend to ask forgiveness for not buying her the iPhone 7, and instead took out a Darry Ring and proposed.
Not angry for losing a new phone, the woman said yes. The incident attracted much attention.
The man said he had lived a frugal life for about a year to save enough money for an iPhone 7 as his girlfriend had used a domestic brand for years and wanted to buy Apple's latest handset on Sept. 21.
Local media reported both the man and woman were new graduates and have been in a relationship for seven years.
