(ECNS) -- The company behind a futuristic road-straddling electric bus is seeking investment despite doubts about the vehicle's operation.

It also launched a range of souvenirs on its official website.

Online reservations are being accepted for souvenirs, including gold and silver coins, bus models and stamps, although no price information is available.

On their website, Beijing-based Transit Explore Bus is also seeking partners in bus manufacturing, infrastructure construction and advertising.

The company tested the Transit Elevated Bus (TEB) in Qinghuangdao City in Hebei Province on Aug. 2, garnering worldwide attention as well as doubt.

The local government has been vague regarding its policy about the project. Previous media reports disclosed that the company was suspected of running a questionable peer-to-peer financing program.

In response, the company said TEB aims to tackle traffic jams using innovative solutions and is still in the development stage.

Engineer Bai Zhiming, who claims to be the "father of TEB," quoted Steve Jobs on his official Weibo, saying "Don't let the noise of others opinions drown out your own inner voice."

TEB is still conducting tests on the specially constructed track in Qinhuangdao, despite reports that the road would return to its original condition after the company's contract with the government terminates on Aug. 31.
