(ECNS) -- The best-selling products among Chinese customers on Amazon China's overseas shopping portal are clothes and accessories, according to the latest rankings released in Beijing on Wednesday.

The rankings show the trends of cross-border online shopping in the first half of the year, and also aim to provide a guide for Chinese customers in selecting overseas goods.

Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Suzhou, Wuhan and Tianjin were the top 10 cities in terms of sales on the overseas portal.

Niu Yinghua, vice president of Amazon China, said his company not only offers customers favorable prices but also tries to fill the many gaps in their daily lives.

Amazon has 13 storage and shipping centers in China and its logistical advantages allow it to deliver goods ordered on its overseas shopping portal in just 9 to 12 days, while customers may receive most domestic goods on the same day they place the order, said Niu.

On Wednesday, Amazon kicked off countdown deals to promote its second annual "Prime Day," slated for July 12 this year, a day that will offer more than 100,000 special deals worldwide exclusively to its paid Prime members.

Amazon China will also run a worldwide promotion from July 11 to 17, with some deals exclusively for Chinese customers.
