(ECNS) -- A mountain road has been closed in Beijing after enthusiastic photographers repeatedly forced a train to stop, the Beijing Evening News reports.

In spring, the Juyongguan Pass segment of the Beijing-Zhangjiakou Railroad is favored by tourists and photographers. They are drawn to the picturesque scene of the white train on an s-shaped track amid a sea of pink flowers, including apricot and peach blossoms.

But some photographers have become so obsessed that they have crouched on the track, forcing the train to make emergency stops several times this year, according to the report.

The number of tourists has multipled compared to last year, with about 1,000 swarming to the area yesterday, according to a Juyongguan Village Committee official.Local authorities have since closed the mountain road and sent staff to persuade tourists to stay away.

The village committee said there is also an increased risk of fire on the mountain, as some tourists choose to smoke there.
