(ECNS) -- A man in his early 20s has won the 8.94 million yuan ($1.37 million) Double Color Ball Lottery after buying a ticket on January 19. However, the lucky winner did not claim his prize until February 16 out of fear the large win could put him in danger, Chutian Metropolis Daily reports.
The man, 23, bought the lucky ticket while picking up relatives from a train station in Wuchang, Central China's Hubei Province.
He decided to keep his win a secret for almost one month as he was afraid of being followed. He also searched online to find out how other winners got the money.
