Taiyuan (ECNS) – A multi-level outdoor elevator 208 meters in height has gained three world record certifications by the World Record Association (WRA) in one day.
The elevator, built on the cliff of Taihang Mountain in Shanxi Province and dubbed "the flying city," has been a popular tourism destination since its opening in October.
The elevator carries up to 21 individuals per time, and the whole trip takes 52 seconds. It's built to weather wind, rain and snow.
Riding the elevator offers a thrilling experience and a panoramic view of Taihang Mountain, known as one of 10 most beautiful valleys in China.
On November 17, it won the world's tallest outdoor sightseeing elevator, the world's fastest outdoor multi-level sightseeing elevator on a cliff, and the world's highest multi-level transparent sightseeing platform on a cliff.
